•A great place for a day trip•

Bonjour tout le monde!

There are so many gorgeous hidden places to go hiking within Adelaide and its surrounds. One of these places is Brownhill Creek. Just a 15-20 minute drive from the CBD, it is a great place to go for a day trip. I took several photos of the beautiful natural scenes whilst I was there which I’ll share with you in this post!

I just loved the way the light sparkled on the water next to the beautiful red plant

Such beautiful berries!

What to bring:

  • Backpack
  • Water
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Sneakers/hiking shoes
  • Sunglasses
  • Pawpaw ointment for your lips

A dragonfly allowed me to take their photo! I felt honoured.

There were many babbling brooks around, and one of my favourite moments from the hike was just sitting on a tree log with the sounds of the creek behind me. In front of me were trees, flowers, birds and a grassy field. I felt so calm and peaceful: it was a wonderful experience.

I am especially enamoured by the tiny flowers; entire universes unto themselves

I would really recommend going hiking in this area if you are a nature lover and/or a keen amateur botanist! Apparently it is quite lovely in all seasons. However, due to the peculiar amount of rain we have received in Adelaide prior to Christmas, everything is growing and blossoming in gorgeous shades of green.

A bientôt!
