•A Day in Rotorua•

Bonjour!

I have recently spent a week on the North Island of New Zealand, and during one of the days we were in and around Rotorua. Rotorua is, although slightly smelly, a beautiful destination where I actually experienced some of my favourite parts of our whole holiday! I say smelly because Rotorua is actually in a spot of intense geothermal activity, which can sometimes create a rather stinky effect when the gases are released from the earth. The smell is created by hydrogen sulphide emissions, giving the town the nicknames “Sulphur City” and, apparently, “Rotten-rua”, which is a personal favourite of mine. However, the geothermal activity also means that there are several natural warm springs in which you can take a beautiful warm swim. Continue reading •A Day in Rotorua•

•What to do in Queenstown•

Bonjour à tous!

I am finally back and blogging after my New Zealand holiday. I had a fantastic adventure and I am so grateful for that. One of the first places we went on our trip was beautiful, vibrant commerce and thrill-seeker centre Queenstown. I quite liked the vibe of Queenstown, as the weather was beautifully cool whilst we were there, and the whole town was set against a mountainous backdrop. It is definitely a place for backpackers, and whilst there I must admit I didn’t get served by a single Kiwi whilst I was there! Mr Czech and I stayed there overnight, and we woke up to a gorgeous view in the morning. Without further adieu, here is my recommended list of things to do in Queenstown!

I was thinking that I’d like to write a post in French this time, because it’s fun and this is a fashion post after all! So, I went to the beach with one of my friends and we had a really fun photoshoot. It was a bit windy that day, which actually added to the pictures.

•Improve your skin: my routine•

Bonjour à tous!

I have been suffering from bad skin for at least a year now. It is rather bizarre, because you think – ok, I’m no longer a teenager (and as I teenager I didn’t have many spots), I’m fine. This wasn’t the case – I’ve suffered from bad skin predominantly in my early 20’s! I had tried so many different expensive lotions and potions – to no avail.

HOWEVER: I have recently been implementing some changes in my life that have really helped me to turn my skin around. It looks a lot happier and healthier, and although it is still a work in progress, I am looking toward a much clearer-skinned future. So, here is my skincare routine – I hope it will help you with yours!

Bonjour à tous!

It’s that time of the year – time to get out our backpacks and head back to University. The last time I stepped foot on campus as a student, I really didn’t think I would be going back this year: but here I am! I am really excited this year because I am finally following my passion for languages and linguistics. I am going in tomorrow and I can’t wait to be surrounded by those beautiful old buildings once again.

•Great Ways to Exercise & Be Happy•

Bonjour à tous!

Recently, I decided to look after my health and wellbeing. One of the major parts of this decision was trying to do a little bit of exercise every day. Now, I’ve never been a gym girl or a super-food junkie. I don’t want to lose weight; I simply wanted to look after my body better. I wanted to be healthier, and I wanted to feel better – and I want you to feel better too.

Bonjour à tous!

Summer in Australia is coming to a (rather rapid) end – oh no! I know that we have a few hotter days coming up, especially here in Adelaide, but at the moment I am wearing my home pants and I have added extra rugs to my bed – what is going on?!
